We acknowledge our work is conducted on the unceded and treaty lands of many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples who have been the stewards and guardians of the land for thousands of years. This land many call Canada is home to a vast diversity of First Nations, Inuit, Métis and other Indigenous peoples from across the world. We acknowledge the historical and ongoing oppression of lands, cultures and the Indigenous people of this country. We all have a shared role to play in the path of decolonization.

We recognize our duty to advance the recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada in our work, such as by encouraging primary care clinics to develop appropriate data governance and sovereignty agreements with local Indigenous communities in line with First Nations OCAP®, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, and Métis OCAS principles.
